When it comes to gender equality, there's one thing women would gladly sacrifice: baldness. Unfortunately, even our pretty locks start to thin as we age. But if men can have their Rogaine, women can have their Boots Expert Hair Loss Treatment Spray.
That's right - The Daily Mail is reporting that the leading British pharmacy brand Boots has developed a hair growth treatment spray for women. Made with coffee beans, the spray is said to restore fullness to hair strands and trigger hair growth from the roots while preventing future hair loss.
"Our new spray changes the way the immune system acts," Boots representative Stewart Long says. "Effectively, it stimulates the cells to ensure the follicles continue to produce thick healthy hair. If the follicle closes, the chances of getting regrowth are virtually nil, even with the high-strength drug treatments that are on the market."
Fifty percent of women reportedly suffer some form of hair thinning by the age of 50, the article claims. Boots says that four out of five female testers experienced beneficial results.
The spray debuts at Boots stores in England this month; here's hoping it makes its way to Boots retailers in the U.S.
